Update: It's 1 L, not 2 in Fulbright. Couldn't change the title, but everyone should know how to spell this wonderful young leader's name.
We were very lucky to have Mercedes Fulbright, a dynamic young civil rights leader, stop by and be our first ever guest on the podcast. In part 1, we discuss the new movement and how she became part of the growing conversation on civil rights among young people. Check out the full interview about the movement and Dallas education if you're ready for a fantastic hour of conversation with our special guest. Enjoy!

Time away from DISD or wherever you teach is fun, but can be much better if you are relaxing with others like we were. So check out this weeks Dallas education podcast. If you're listening and relaxing, then we're right there with you. Expect a little podcast treat at the end of the day! Our weekly podcast is up and ready for listening! This week we talk graduation requirements in Dallas ISD.
The topic was sparked by an a new bill that could allow seniors to graduate from Texas, and by extension DISD, schools without passing their required STAAR tests. This could have a serious impact on Dallas education, which is why we talked about that and sending the wrong signals to our DISD students in our blogs and weekly podcast. Listen and enjoy!
