District 4 had no surprises. Jaime Resendez won outright with almost 57% of the vote. Camile White grabbed a little over 31% of the vote for a 2nd place finish. A total of 1298 voted.
District 5 Trustee Dr. Lew Blackburn managed to hold on to his 15 year seat for another 3 years, defeating Marquis Hawkins and Linda Wilkerson-Wynn. He narrowly avoided a runoff himself by about 1.5%. It's worth noting that notched an impressive victory during early vote, attaining a clear majority of mail in ballots, while Marquis Hawkins defeated Blackburn on election day. A total of 2320 voted.

District 7 will have a new trustee very different from the outgoing Eric Cowan. Audrey Pinkerton defeated Isaac Faz, earning nearly 60% of the vote. A total of 2832 voted.
Regardless of how you feel about the results, these winners are our trustees and the board will be the board for the next year until a new election cycle is upon us. There's no change if there's no vote. If you didn't vote, you can't complain. The people of the districts have spoken and now it's time to stay involved and continue fighting for our kids. Congratulations to the winners. My condolences to the defeated.
