Administrators and a few teachers are walking around. Everyone is more casual than they would be on a regular day, but there's no dress code right now. I wore what I always wear, but that's because I have a hard time getting anything done unless I dress up for it.
Maintenance is fixing, improving, and painting all over the place, there are a few students walking around, and there are coaches out on the field.
It's exciting that school is almost back. I'm anxious to meet my new students. I'm excited to try a few new things. I can't wait to do things better than i did last year. That said, I'm not ready for summer to be over. I'm tired even though all I did was sleep. I miss my freedom even though I still have it for a few days. This is a wonderful time to be a teacher. The possibilities are endless because nothing has happened yet to make me think otherwise.
My mission is to keep that feeling going for the rest of the year. Again, welcome back folks.
