SAGA Pod w/ Eric Celeste & Jim Schutze was my gym/ride to work podcast today, and though I'm admittedly a little behind since this came out on the 14th, their breakdown of groups and their relationship to education was thorough and provocative. I like their format and it's clear both of them have done their homework. Not only do they have some numbers, but they sound like they've talked to real people with skin in the game.
K-12 Greatest Hits is great for instructional ideas. Just yesterday I was thinking through and complaining about not being able to grade papers fast enough. The episode from yesterday was about just that. The teacher on the show was talking about how she's flipped the editing process by implementing a peer editing system. Check it out. I won't be doing it this go around, but it's something I'm going to look into going forward.
