They really are making quite a bit of progress and I am excited to see what they do next time. Today, I told them that. The looks of disappointment went away and they got really into the review activity. We took a look at essays and they discovered for themselves how they can improve and do better next time. It was exciting to watch. They helped me raise my expectations and I'm thankful for that.
It's not often that I get to see kids grow so much within a class period. I had to express my pride today, and I need to do that more often.
