Yesterday, I got caught off guard.
I was using an old activity that for the past three years has been a solid half hour activity. A matching puzzle designed to build content specific vocabulary competency. Sounds fancy right? Anway, when students didn't know the word, they were to do their own research to find the answer. Here's the problem: I was using as a review this year.
It's no secret that this year has been frazzling, distracting, and otherwise lacking in additional time for writing. I got my wires crossed and put one of my favorite activities in the wrong place in my instructional calendar. There was my problem and I had to live with it.
