A Dallas Education Blog by Young Dallas Teachers
Sometimes, we as teachers get up in charge of a completely different group of kids. This usually happens around testing time. I walked into a classroom today of a teacher who was watching a group of kids that I taught last year. She hated them. "I miss my kids" she said with a thin smile and exhausted eyes. The antics of the kids were funny to me because I knew them. To her, they were strangers. They weren't fond of her and she wasn't fond of them. I've felt the same way before. Kids that other teachers love drive me nuts. There's a general aversion to strangers and change around these parts. I guess it's just rubbing off on all of us.
