Today I did what I hate. I gave my kids a quiz on they day back from a long weekend. I gave them ample warning, in class practice, and resources to use over the weekend. They used all of that stuff from what I could tell, but they were still confused. That's a little bit on me. Why? We're talking about The French Revolution and it confuses me too. Saying "I don't know" can be a powerful tool.
I'm not ashamed of admitting that to my kids and I think they appreciate it. We followed their quiz by taking time to slow it down reteach the things they missed. It's also great review for me. We're learning together.
