Maybe my students were waiting for today to shower me with praise and gifts?
No muffin or cake yesterday.
Here's to hoping Teacher Appreciation Day is like a birthday. Maybe everyone will just be really nice to me all week because my special day is in it, but really they'll only do something special today and let me prance around with an overinflated sense of self importance.
I did get a free cup of coffee today though and a few of my friends have used their teacher status to break their health motivated embargo of Chipotle, so there's that.
