Other than that, there are a lot of loose ends that didn't quite get tied up and a few that were tied up in a sloppy way. Deanna's death was drawn out and honestly inevitable from the beginning. There can't be two leaders. Not because that system is inherently flawed, but because the show made some decisions earlier on that prevented that power structure from working out. The death of her husband, the death and behavior of her kids, their lack of exposure to the outside world, and their shocking lack of plans for any kind of crisis sort of set her up as an incompetent leader. Things are falling apart and she didn't evolve fast enough. Props on her going out on her own terms and sacrificing herself in her own way by drawing the horde toward her, but her getting killed was one of the least surprising things ever.
Carl gets the gold star for the episode. Never thought I'd say that, but his tough love was exactly what Ron (Jessie's son) needed. "I know man dad killed your dad but your dad was an asshole" was his way of saying "shut the hell up we've got bigger problems." Very true Carl.
There were some great moments but we still have Maggie in distress, Glenn and Enid just coming back, and Daryl/Sasha/Abraham still off on their own adventure. I wanted a little more but I guess that's good TV. Left me wanting more me looking forward to next season. I may need to give it another look.
