After a nice weather induced extended weekend, DISD is back in action. Many of you are probably questioning why we are back at school today. The weather is still bad. Rained all night and snow should be starting again soon. Some kids may still be home today, probably even a few teachers. As much as I refreshed my email last night, I know we need to be back. Let's be honest, House of Cards doesn't come back until Friday so might as well be at work.
In all seriousness though, the students do need us . Most of you know not nearly enough learning goes on at home. Even though your lesson plan are off and printing is going to a war zone this morning, try to have some fun and make the most of today. Focus on what you did get, two extra days of you time, and not what you could be getting today. Plus, I'll take our situation any day over the winter disasters that have shut down Boston and the Northeast. No thank you!
