What you missed in Dallas education news and politics during this short week.

This week is election heavy. I got an email that raised a very valid question. Why all the election stuff? Where's the teacher stuff? she asked. Election stuff is teacher stuff. This election will determine the makeup of the next board which means it will determine what happens in classrooms all over Dallas. It will effect the daily lives of our teachers, students, and parents. There is nothing I'm watching more closely than this for me. Get out and vote no matter who you vote for and make sure your decision is an informed one. Early vote starts in less than a month on April 25th. Election day is May 7th. 

Enjoy the holiday. Enjoy your families. Relax. The end of the year is rapidly approaching.
